02  TRAVEL & STAY

Making the journey.

We'll be in Queenstown from 27 February through 3 March 2027, making our way down from Christchurch for the occasion. You're very welcome to arrive earlier or stay a little longer. We're already so grateful you're considering making the journey.

We built you a map — from wherever you're starting, over the Southern Alps, down to the runway and up the hill.

Travel note

Visa matters

Philippine passport holders are required to apply for a New Zealand Visitor Visa prior to travel. Applications are completed online through Immigration New Zealand, with processing typically taking a few days to a few weeks.

Take note: for layovers beyond 8 hours, you will also need an Australia Transit Visa.

Flight

Flying to Queenstown

Please book your travel with a final destination of Queenstown: Queenstown Airport (ZQN).

For guests travelling from Manila, we recommend flying with Qantas via Sydney or Brisbane. Staying on one carrier helps keep the journey simple, with reliable connections through their Australian hubs.

House or rental

Where to stay

We recommend staying within Queenstown's town centre, not Frankton (near Queenstown airport). It's highly walkable, with most restaurants, cafés, and key spots close by—making it easy to move around and join in on gatherings without much planning.

There are plenty of hotel options in the area, as well as Airbnb stays, which can be a more cost-effective choice especially if booked for a group.

Rental car

Getting around

Queenstown's town centre is highly walkable, with most places close by.

If you'd like to explore beyond town, a rental car offers the most flexibility. Do note that in New Zealand, cars are driven on the left side of the road, with the steering wheel on the right.

Alternatively, Uber is widely available and reliable for getting around.
